Ladies Laptop Bags...For Serious?

Is your daughter college bound? Will she be sporting a laptop computer? If so, do yourself a favor--get her a quality ladies laptop bag!

Five years ago, when my daughter first went to college she was still using a desktop computer. With all the money being spent on tuition, housing, a food plan, along with a never-ending list of college related "I wants" and "I needs", a new laptop was not in the cards. If I recall correctly, she begged incessantly for two years, but in the end, I insisted on dragging the monstrosity to and from Scranton University every year. When traveling with your laptop, whether you are going across country, across town or across a campus, the quality of your bag is essential. If you are a gal who is transporting your computer notebook practically every where you go, you will want your ladies laptop bag to be constructed of first-rate materials so that it will last for the long run.

Here are some considerations when researching quality materials:

FRAME

• A lightweight and quality frame is commonly known as the honeycomb and has an ability to stand up to pressure.

EASY CLEANING

• Vinyl is the best material for easy-cleaning, plus it is a reasonably priced plastic material. For durability comparison you will want to investigate the "denier" of the fabric, which means the size of the yarn used. The higher the denier, the more durable the material.

LEATHER

• Genuine leather is a leading choice because of its strength and fine finish.
• Top grain leather, also a quality grade, is derived from the outermost layer of a hide and is sanded to remove the natural markings.
  
• Also made of the outer layer, full grain leather is untouched and left with a natural look.
• Man-made or imitation is composed of plastics, fabric and rubber. It provides a similar look and texture of real leather with a significantly lower price.
• Split leather is a lower quality that is taken from the under-layer of the skin, split off from the top grain leather.
• All of these material are usually strong and made to last.
